Default AVS or Weathertech Chip and Bug Shield

Just took my first trip to the coast in the new truck and detailing when I got home I noticed a chip!!! Rrrrrrrrrr! Not a fan of shields but hate chips more!! What's the consensus??????

Had stampede on the 2012 lariat. I liked it cause it went behind Chrome grille. See my photos. I'm assuming they have one for my new 2016 coming this week.

Purchased the WeatherTech, but the instructions want me to slide a metal spring loaded clamp over the edge of the hood effectively the inside AND outside painted surface of the hood on both ends. Of course they supply a piece of 3m tape to protect the surface. No way in h H E Double toothpicks am I going to do that. Now they are not refunding my shipping.

that looks great. Can you shoot a side angle view? I was thinking of the smoke shade for my 2016 Caribou but Color matched might look great as well. Did you do that or professional. (Not that it looks bad).

Ford...has a Aero Shield for Hood that goes on with double sided tape have no problems with it no wind whistle etc. Will post a picture later..

Yeah I originally bought the ford chrome one and it had the same mounting. I thought the same thing about the bracket design.
