We see this all the time.
99% of the new engines are pretty trouble free.
We talk about the problems here, and it makes us think there are way more problems, percentage-wise that there really are.
I had a 1996 Windstar, that I got when I was a factory rep, Nov of 1996, and I bought it from the company in 1998, and drove it 162,000 miles.
But in 1995, they had a batch of bad head gaskets. So that's all anybody talked about, made people think they were doomed.
When I traded it in, the Ford Dealer's salesman asked me if I had the head gaskets changed even. After I told him it was the wrong year, he looked it up and was surprised how limited it was.
My butt is still bleeding from the steering rack replacement, and after reading all the threads I figured it was a rampant problem. So I asked both our local dealers how many they have changed, and it's only a handful, assuming they are telling me the truth. Go figure,

I find myself listening to the new engine and hearing a noise and immediately think there's gotta be something wrong! When really there probably isn't.
As for the dealers...its a standard answer. I asked my dealer about pano roof issues when I bought my 2018 - his response was that he hadnt heard of any issues at all...which we all know is bull****!
I still bought one with pano roof, it rattled for the first week and a half then it settled in and rattle gone. I am liking the 5.0.

Once had a dentist botch a tooth job but if I swore off all dentists, I'd have no teeth at all.

Lol people act like a mass produced product can’t develop flaws. I’ve owned 5 F150s and no issues. 5.0, 2.7 eco, and a 4.6L 3V. People act like going to a different truck company won’t have issues. Go on those forums. Same ****. A few people in the large scheme of things is what it is.

Millions of EB engines produced. Yep some will be flawed. You are more likely to get an F150 with vibration issues and bad IWE systems than a bad EB. I am on my 7th EB, all have been trouble free.
