Not exactly. This is the only method (other than installing timers and relays yourself) that allows you to just push the button to turn A.S.S. back on. For the record, I used ForScan to turn A.S.S. off.

Keeping in mind that relays and timers simply make the system default to off. This system defaults to where you last put it. Bueno.

123 bones is a 123 bones. to each their own though.
You see though, they DON’T accomplish the exact same thing. So many gloss over the fact that all the other options have undesirable consequences. Personally, I don’t want to cut up wires to have a button constantly shorted out, which may have long term consequences that we’re unaware of, to say nothing of the possibility of that wire popping loose and potentially causing problems behind the dash. I don’t want to trick my vehicle into thinking I’m constantly towing, losing other valuable feature of the truck in the process. I don’t want to turn off BMS, which nobody can say for sure doesn’t have any other downsides.

I DO want to clip in a little circuit that just remembers what action I’ve taken and can just repeat that every time I start my truck. A little circuit that’s totally removable, that leaves no trace. Oh, I can easily make the system act normal again, in case I need to bring it in to a nosy dealer for an oil change and don’t want them any wiser.

So, please, quit being ignorant to the obvious differences and accept the fact that some people like a more elegant, refined solution. Not everyone likes half-assed work-arounds. Not everyone feels that those other solutions are really even complete solutions at all.

Technically, the relays and timers simply repeat the same action every time you start your vehicle, relying on the system default. Same effect, but they are not changing any defaults. Nor does this this solution. It simply remembers where you left it and then puts the vehicle back in that state when you restart it, again relying on the constant system default of on. This device isn’t “smart” per se, but it’s the closest thing we have. It certainly has the perceived effect of changing the default, but that it isn’t really what it’s doing. Just clarifying.

The $23 for overnight shipping cracks me up more than the waste of $100. Gotta have that RIGHT NOW as my life is that inconvenienced.

Check the other thread for the other question you had..

I'm against spending my hard earned cash on a ridiculous device, when I can just push a button lol

Yeah, personally I can’t splurge on overnight. I do hate to wait, but not that much.

It’s not pushing the button. It’s pushing the button every damn time! You don’t have to agree to understand what we’re saying. I can’t believe how worked up you guys get over how other people spend their own money. There are MUCH more frivolous things people spend a LOT more money on around here. Get over it.
