A screw driver and a grinder provided a quick fix, and it seems like a better solution than removing them all together. Otherwise why would ford have installed them in the first place. They're still sitting flush with the tailgate, I just took a little off the top.

And here are some pics of the liner itself for whoever is interested. I highly recommend spending a little more for the Line-X. Don't put a $100 saddle on a $60k horse.

How did they spray in between the tailgate and end of bed?
How much did it cost you if ya don't mind me asking?
Did they unbolt the box link like they took out the bed bolts?

Looks good!

Have none of the issues described here. Weather has been in the single digits up to 72 degrees in the 2 weeks since Line X.

I have the same issue. We greased it a bit and it fixed it for a little while. I'll ask Ford to fix it

There's a good 1-1/4" of space between the two with the tailgate down. They didn't have to remove it if that's what you're asking. Box link and bed bolts were removed and they taped around the lights. Still made for a pretty uniform look though.

It was $550 total. They're the only Line-X dealer in the area so I didn't have a lot of bargaining room.
