Default Automatic Headlight Issue

Ok all, the last couple of days my auto headlights seem to be on all time (as well as auto dimming the dash) even in full noon sunlight until I physically turn my headlights off.

When I first got the truck, in full sunlight the headlights were off (judging by the brightness of the dash)

Truck has 1800 miles on it, I was wondering is there a way to reset the system?

You didn't stick anything over the sensor on the dash did you? Does your dash display show the headlights on light?

Yes they do. Where on the dash is this sensor? I do have my fishing hat, a straw cowboy style hat on there in the center. Is that about the same area?

The sensor is right in the middle of the dash close to the windshield. Your hat is probably shading it.

Haha, that's funny right there.

Seriously though, I have noticed the sensor in my truck for the auto lights is more sensitive than the one in my wifes explorer. My lights will come on where there is still a good amount of sunlight out.

Haha, this same thing happened to me in my 2011... I didn't realize my hat was covering the sensor, and thought the truck was screwed up. When some sun came into the cab, I reached over to put my hat back on, and the lights turned off

They keep moving the sensor. In the 07, it was directly in front of the driver.
