Default Auto Stop/Start disabled on my new to me 2019

Hello, I just bought a 2019 3.5 EcoBoost with ~30k miles and just realized today after a few days of owning it that the auto start/stop function has been disabled. What method would have been used to disable it permanently? I kind of prefer it disabled anyways but just want to understand how the last owner disabled it, and if I should know anything before I tow with it etc. Thanks

There is the "auto start eliminator" that plugs into the back of the button. Probably the easiest way. I bought one from someone on here for my truck, but it didn't work.

You can also disable it with forscan. If you have the auto stop eliminator installed you can still turn it on and off by pushing the button on the dash above the audio head unit screen.

There is a small 2-wire plug at the negative battery terminal, unplug that and it disables the system.

You can also do a jumper wire at the switch in the dash, on the back side.

They also sell overpriced modules that disable the system as well.

There is a plug down by the brake peddle, just left of it on a gray box, it will be obvious. #2 autostop eliminator, might be behind switch, or like mine, plugged into OBDii port. #3, it might not be turned off, these batteries are notorious for 2-3 year life span, when you go into display, what does it give as a reason it is off?

It won't work wit the trailer hitch on. also if your battery is not fully charged, it will not work.

Did this on my '17, it's the bottom wire.

I used the jumper wire technique and it works great.

Get one of these...easy to install and you won't have any further issues. All the other remedies can create other problems and permanently disables stop/start.This device will still give you the option of turning on the Auto start/stop if you should choose to do so
