Default Auto Start / Stop option

Does anyone know how to turn off the auto start/stop option? I don't like it and I'm tired of pushing the button on the dash every time i get in my truck.

You can't turn it off.
After you come to a stop, let up on the brake pedal about 1/2" (just to where truck won't move).. Truck won't shut off. Been using mine like that since January 5th..
The stop/start is tied into the brake light switch. Pressure sensitive.

I have also been doing that. I think it is one of my only complaints on the truck. That and the miserable sound system.

There has to be a way to disable that feature. Call me old school, but i just think it creates extra wear and tear on the starter and other components of the vehicle.

On the other hand start/stop technology is no longer new to the automotive world. I guess the question is: does the gas savings make up for potentially replacing a starter or battery sooner?

On the other hand, restarting an already warmed up engine can't be that bad and I'm sure the starter was engineered to handle an increased duty cycle.

Well, we are looking into a way to disable this with our Livernois MyCalibrator tuner. We plan on offering our performance tuning for the 2.7, and plan on offering a tune without start/stop since so many people complain about it. So, if we can do it, we will offer it as a no cost option with our tuner.

I figured the aftermarket would be our only chance.

I love the auto stop feature on mine. Red lights are long here.
