Default Auto-start stop not working

I've been noticing that when I come to a stop my truck keeps saying "vehicle on due to charging"

Never seen this before. It's been doing this for a few days now.

Anyone got any ideas?

Your battery is too weak for the system to work properly (if it's under a certain percentage of max or not holding a charge it won't turn off the engine) or the system is malfunctioning and thinking the battery is too week. What year is your truck?

It's a 2017.

None...I haven't dabbled with that.

I just had bodywork done and a headlight was replaced. When I picked up the truck it wouldn't start so they had to jump it. It's been fine since though...

Could be a weak battery as mentioned earlier. I'd bring it to the dealer, have them deal with it.

Mine didn’t work from new. It’s also a 2017. Turned out to be a defective dc/ac converter module. It detected a load on the AC plug so it doesn’t shut off. They replaced the module under warranty and it works as it should.

Ding, ding, ding, ding. We have a winner.

When you drive these trucks, they only charge the battery so much. They hate short drives, like running errands to a bunch of stores. They like long, over 1/2 hour drives. Either take a long drive or put the battery on a trickle charger. Or make they repair shop do it since they are the ones that drained your battery.

I'd suggest the dealer, or go back to the body shop and have them look at it again. Could be something damaged from the collision that was missed, or that they didn't hook something up properly. Has it worked properly since you picked it up?
