When your truck is in park and engine running, are the headlights on?
It should also show the back to back light icon on the instrument panel if the headlights are on.
My DRL's are my headlights.

Yes it’s like the sensor thinks it’s night time all the time tail lights and amber c bar with headlights Always on when in auto mode

I posted a similar question a couple days ago, no one seems to have a solution but others expressed the same concern that you are. The sensor seems to be very sensitive and thinks it is "night" when its still light out. Almost like mine requires direct sunlight to think its daylight. I want to see if there is a way to swap sensors and check operation.

Sensor is about 30 dollars, this is for both auto headlamps and the sun load sensor for the auto heat/cool. The other one is just for auto headlamps, its even cheaper

Dropped off at dealership the finally fixed the headlights wasn’t talking to the BCM

Default Auto lights stopped working

I can turn my lights on and off but my auto isn’t working anyone know anything on fixing this? It’s 2017 f150
