Default Audio upgrade this week

The Sony audio system in my truck needs some help, so I'm doing it this week.

I will be adding:

Removing ANC from the system

JL Audio 6.5 components in the front doors, with the tweeters in the A pillars
JL Audio 6.5 coaxials in the back doors

MB Quart 1000 watt 5 channel amp with bass level control

Audio Control LC6-i 6 channel high level converter

Current plans are to retain the center channel dash speaker and the 8 inch sub, still powered by the factory 700 W Sony Amp. I'm not sure if that will sound good, but we'll see.

4 gauge power cable

single 12 inch Infinity Reference sub downfiring, under back seat

I'm going to use my sub enclosure from my Denali, but I will need a new one as soon as I can find one meant for a 2015 F 150. Any ideas for a good sub box?

Shop on Wednesday...Pics starting Thursday.

Can't wait to hear how it turns out. I want to upgrade my Sony as well but not sure where to start. I wanted to change out the door speakers and add an amp to power them. Good luck

Do you have an eco? I know that the "fake engine noise" makes audio upgrades extremely difficult/borderline impossible.

HIGHLY recommend the lc6i...I did my install yesterday using it and all top of the line kicker products and WOW what a difference! 5.0 for me tho...I know the eco takes a little more work.

Yes, but I read the solution, so I ain't skeered! My audio guy was thankful... that ANC was vexing him and his customers!

Dropped the truck off this morning at 10AM (when they opened). After waiting almost two hours for Enterprise to "pick me up" I finally got out of the rental office at noon. Ridiculous.

Anyway, I went back at 5 PM to pick a spot for the bass control ****, and work was well underway. The amp was in and wired for power and the LC61 was as well. The speakers were all in. Wiring from the amp to the speakers was finished. I will pick it up tomorrow at 11 AM.

One thing to note: the factory speakers foam in front of the speakers is an inch thick, necessitating custom adapters being fabricated to properly mount the JL Audio door speakers. I'll post a pic of this quirk later.
