Default ATV on the tailgate!

Having the small 5.5ft bed in my truck, my Grizzly 700 rear end will be resting on the tailgate, does that pose any kind of an issue? Never having a truck, only SUV and a trailer Im not positive if there will be issues or not in the long run!!

Do you stash gear in front of it? It looks shorter than a polaris, and the polaris i've seen rests on the seam of the tailgate/bed, not 100% tailgate. But either way, I would imagine it would be fine, there's probably a tailgate weight rating somewhere?

I haven't even put it in the bed yet, Ill have a MX4 flipped up, but I could take it all the way off on the ATV days and give me more room up front.

I would get a couple 2x12's and put the wheeler on them with the heavy end toward the cab of the truck.

This. it'll keep the bouncing from messing up the tailgate, though that's of less concern with a small atv.

I have had my Polaris 500 HO in the back of my 13, 15 and now 18 no issues and the rear tires sit on the tailgate.

No issues at all with having some weight on the tailgate. Get yourself a LA guard dog

I've had one for years and you can't drive the four wheeler out of the truck with this on it. These are by far the best way to haul/secure a four wheeler.
