I agree, canned engine sound in a truck is just wrong. And well....you nailed it....Embarrassing.

Nobody cares if you personally do not like the faux motor sounds. You don't like it? Wear ear plugs when you drive.

This thread is nothing but a big ole bitch session. Go buy a Chevy or Dodge.

Guess it could be said to you, "Go post in a forum related to the truck you have and stay out of the 2015 forum." Since you don't have anything relevant to post, quit posting here. Nobody cares what you have to say since it's not relevant.

Otherwise this is a place to discuss something specific to 2015's and see if other members can help figure out how to solve an issue that bothers many people.

I also dislike the sound and would like to be able to disable it.

Has anyone tried seeing what the Ford rep that's on this site has to say about this feature? Is anything in the works? I hope by the time I buy another truck it has disable feature.

Sorry my signature wasn't updated for your reference. artificial engine noise-image-3890932288.jpg artificial engine noise-image-70352177.jpg My post is just as relevant as yours. What are you accomplishing? What is anyone accomplishing here? The engine sound is permanent unless you get a complete aftermarket system. I suggest you visit crutchfield or the dealership you purchased your vehicle from.

That's why things are discussed in an online forum. To see if a solution can be found.

I know my dealership doesn't have a solution. Why would I visit them?

Well when people are calling it gay and the equivalent to stuffing a sock in their pants, I don't think think those are solutions.

I came from a 2011 limited with the 6.2 and when I test drove the eb before I bought and learned about the engine enhancement I didn't even notice it was there. I'm guessing this was what Ford intended. I agree this should be optional but it doesn't really bother me being there. I don't hear any delay in response like some other members are experiencing. If I wanted to upgrade the mediocre stereo than yes I would definitely be annoyed. Just my experience with it.
