Yes I’m aware that Applink only recognizes a limited number of Apps like Waze and Accuweather and several others
listed in the Applink catalog which I’ve looked at. My Applink does not find or recognize any of the authorized / updated Apps in the Applink catalog.

I find the same thing with my Samsung S7 and my Apple Ip8. The Apps that are supposed to work are spotty at best, Waze will over heat your phone and is always lagging using App Link while with CarPlay it works smooth and the phone never gets hot. Not sure why I just use what works.

Yes, I’ll just use CarPlay as it seems to work although I noticed that some times I need to tap the home button on the screen over and over again before it finally goes back to the home screen. Not being able to use Applink is not a major deal but when you spend almost $70K for a truck I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect everything to work as advertised the day you drive it off the lot. Ford has had years now to get Sync functionality to work like it’s supposed to and every year they just keep churning out vehicles with certain Sync issues that have existed since day 1. The quirky behavior I stated with my iPod player is a good example. It acted up in my first truck with the introduction of Sync and it”s still acting up in this latest truck years later with Sync 3. Very frustrating to say the least.
