I don't mind the column shifter, but that usually meant no center console and that 6th seat. The floor shifter just looks nicer too.

XLT Sports package has a floor shifter. That is what I plan on getting.

With more interior and exterior choices for XLT, XLT is probably going to take even more of the share of orders... Less incentive for people to opt up for the more expensive lariat, KR or Plat.

That was my reaction too. But, I'm interested to see the prices. Equipped XLTs were about the same price as Lariats.

I currently have two vehicles (Fusion & Veloster) with console shifters. I like them for their at-hand location for tranny commands & their symmetric appearance dividing the two bucket seats. But, I would certainly prefer a column shifter to some of the dumb-idea shifters seen in the past, e.g. dials & push button gear selectors. Even paddles get lost when you need a gear fast in some scenarios.

It doesn't matter to me because you now get the full console. It's like GM does. They offer the full console but still has column shifter.

Lots of great choices here, looks like the 2015's will be really easy to customize right from the factory

XLT Sport - Boom.

I like the FX4, but appearance wise it doesn't change anything from the Sport which is why I would even buy an FX4 now. For the look.

May have found my new truck a whole lot cheaper
