Default Anyone with paint issues??

Bought a 2016 F150 in October (Metallic) - washed the wheels on Thursday and noticed the paint is chipping off the right rear fender lip. Possibly a rock chip, right? Except I have no scratches or dings anywhere on the truck and it's a very uniform flaw. There are paint "fibers" (so to speak) hanging off the edges. Also, it's on the front side of the fender so I'd have had to been going about 40 in reverse for it to be a rock chip. I'm going to make the dealership document it. If it gets worse, that's on Ford, not me. I'm going to the dealership tomorrow but a friend of mine already said "good luck with that."

This is my 4th F150, but if the paint is going to peel off before it has 2k on the odometer, my next truck won't be a Ford.

I almost bought a Tundra but decided to stick with Ford instead. That won't happen in the future if this is what I can expect from **** poor union laborers.

Sounds about right. Mine was fine until I handed it off to the dealership for the bed liner install and initial detail they didn't do before I drove it off the lot.

Now I have a rattle in my p/s door, a bubble in the front p/s window tint, and paint flaking off.

I have several rock chips that happened within the first 1000 miles. I noticed that static cling on theses trucks in unreal as well. On the other hand I had a mishap with a falling limb during a storm while I was driving under the tree. I cut hard but it hit the passenger front fender hard and didn't leave a scratch let alone a dent, go figure.

Post pics.

I was a warranty painter for Ford for 6 years. I can tell you, if they'll tell you to pound sand or not

I have a piece of paint off the fender lip, it was like a piece of foam was there and when I cleaned it off just a bare spot about 1/4 in wide. I did touch it up. Other than that a few dust particles on the roof. Also paint missing on the side of seam sealer where you can see behind the windshield. Rest of the body appears ok, several rock trips.

It doesn't look all that bad on camera, but it's about 2cm top to bottom. Point is I didn't pay 50k for a truck for the paint to flake.
