$1300/month for a pickup truck is downright stupid. Only a moron would do that.

Religion - Politics - Finances

Three subjects for sure to cause controversy!

K...so what you should have done is taken that money and invested it, and then bought your truck with a low .9 or 0% finance rate.

Didn't want the debt. I'll loose less money on the truck than I would in the stock market.

I'm not paying anywhere near what the article says 13 million others are. But I think if you are going to live life. You could be doing this with any number of things. Travel, clothing ,colleting. Basicly anything that brings you joy. I guess the key is know your limitations. My truck is one of my favorite investments. Ha Ha.

After years of buying new vehicle (and years of car payments), I bought my latest F150 used. A 2016, which I bought in May 2019. It's now paid off. Feels great!!

I’m super guilty of the trade up trend. I’m on my 5th vehicle at 29, and I’m trying my hardest to actually hold onto it, which is tough sometimes. It’s a 2018 with 30,000 on it that I bought new. Just gotta stop looking at all the new cool features of newer years.

I feel like I should read the article for context based on the mixed emotions of the comments above.

Nah, probably won't bother with it.
