Anyone else switched from a Supercab to a Crew Cab if so which one do you like best?
I just got a 2017 Super Crew 4x4 STX Race Red 3.5L Eco Boost with max tow package and 20" Machined Aluminum Wheels.I had a Blue Flame 2015 Super Cab 4X4 with the 2.7L Eco Boost before.I have to get used to this 10 speed auto shifting from 1-3 then 3-5 when not taking off fast from a start.
The 2.7L seemed spunkier in 1st-3 gear but i must say 4th-10 gear this 3.5L Eco Boost is pretty strong!!!!

Well, this is somewhat of a loaded question. Since you are asking those who switched from a supercab to a supercrew, most likely the majority of answers are going to be that they like the supercrew better, after all they spent substantially more money to make the change. Those are going to be the same people that needed the extra space. A crew cab has more room....and people upgrade to more room because they need it or want to have it 'just in case'.
The supercrew is substantially more expensive, and has substantially more room and a different door design. These two designs are simply a result of Ford offering multiple options for multiple needs. For me, I don't want or need the supercrew space, expense, added length, or the big B pillar/post that comes with that cab - I just needed some extra space to stow stuff inside and to have limited back seat space for when that need occasionally comes up. Others truly need the additional space, or just want to have the most 'decked out version and/or the highest overall cabin room.' For me, I want extra space to be in the bed (6.5 bed length is perfect for me). Here in Oklahoma, I RARELY see anyone in the back seats of a Supercrew (or supercab, for that matter).
Another group don't need or want interior space behind the front seat at all; they opt for the regular cab.

I went the other way, from screw to scab. The enormous amount of interior space was nice but I prefer the aesthetic of the scab and the extra foot of box without the extra wheelbase has come in handy. I don't haul people and my dog rides shotgun so 'leg' room is a non factor. If given the choice I'll take the scab but I wouldn't turn down a sick deal on a screw..... heuheuheu

Went from a Scab to Screw. Hands down the Screw is our choice for us when it's our turn to drive when we have an other couple and don't want take the Explorer since the truck has a lot more room.
When we had the Scab, any adult sitting back there basically had their knees in the back of the front seat, great for small kids and short adults.
It's also nice to raise the rear seats and load the back spacious flat floor.
If you don't have adult passengers in the back plus not as easy getting in and out, a Scab would be work out fine as it did for me for years.

SCab on full-size trucks isn't actually bad... I went with SCrew mainly for resale value and space - Back seats have more leg room than the front seats! Plus, the dog can lay down.
Have you ever tried sitting in the rear seat of a SCAB on mid-size trucks such as Rangers or Tacomas? It's insane.

I went from a 145" wb Scab to 157" wb Screw.
I didn't want to lose my bed length and the 4 real doors are so much better. No more door rattle from the clamshell doors, quieter inside, it feels more rigid since it has a full B Pillar, and tons more space.
My dog is usually the only one that sits back there but since she is 70lbs she is a lot more happy too.
And going to the 3.5 ecoboost wasn't a bad switch either.

Depends on if you haul people around in the back seat on a regular basis. I sold my screw and went to a scab because it is just the wife and I . Besides we have other vehicles to use, like an Expedition and full size car.
Something that few people talk about is the rear visibility out of the screw is vastly improved. But you pay a pretty big premium for the screw.
One thing for certain. I would NEVER buy any truck with a 5.5 long bed again. EVER!!

Resale will be less than the screw but thats because the screw initially costs a lot more. Where I live there are roughly 60% screws on the road and 40% scabs. There are a lot of truck owners who dont carry people in the rear seat that often, plus many use a truck as a second vehicle.
