Default Anyone else like the sound of the turbo spooling?

All I hear are people and how they love the rumble of the V8 and I do too, but the sound of the turbo spooling on the 3.5L Ecoboost sounds equally sweet to me. I wish it was louder sometimes!

Love it, this engine is a nice midpoint from a gas v8 1/2 ton and a diesel 3/4 ton which is what I came from. It gets better when tuned as well

I love the sound... Too bad I have to have the windows down to hear it.

I like it. But I don't wish it was louder. I like a quiet ride.

The lady friend didn't know what I was talking about when I explained what turbos were.

I pointed it out when we were at a cross walk next to an ecoboost f150 at a stop light. We hung around so she could listen and we both thought it sounded neat. She ended up getting a car with a turbo in it and likes it when she can hear it.

That said I still went with a v8 for my truck and I do love the rumble. I've never been a fan of loud exhausts but I find myself wanting a bit more. The mileage of the 2.7 is the only thing I find myself second guessing myself on in the end.

OP had me at Noles fan, hahaha.

Love turbo spool. Especially on bigger turbos. Drove a friend's 700whp R33 GT-R years back, with a GT40R....and Lord that spool sounded magnificent.

That's weird, I hear 'em whistling most of the time, A/C on and windows up!
Even louder when the engine is cold! lol

I bought the EB because I don't like the V8 sound at all. Quietest possible ride is what I was aiming for.

I get the rumble on my motorcycle and snowmobile

What boggles my mind is why Ford augments the ecoboost sound so it sounds more v8 like. Why not amplify the turbo sound for those that want to hear it?
