Default Another New Ride

Well a few months ago, my wife decided she had to have a new ride so we bought her a new loaded 2016 Explorer, VERY nice vehicle so far. Well I got the new truck bug last week and came home with a NEW 2015 loaded F150 Lariat. Very nice as well. This time after doing a little research on the ECOs I decided to set aside my V8 love and go with the V6 ECO 2.7 Very impressed with the torque and power of that 2.7 Time will tell as far my reliability but if it is anything like my just traded 2012 FX I'll be another happy camper. Feel free anyone to chime in on likes and dislikes of your similar rides.

Wife has a white 2015 Explorer XLT and I have a black 2015 F150 XL. I guess it's as plain as black & white...LOL! Seriously, both have the NA 3.5 V6 engines and we enjoy both. Glad you are happy with yours as well!

Nice rides! We got my wife a 2013 Explorer Sport a few years ago. She loves that 3.5 EcoBoost. I decided to match here about 6 months ago and get a 13 FX4 EcoBoost. We really enjoy our EcoBoost.

The 2.7 is no slouch. Put a tune on it and it runs almost as hard as the 3.5. Very nice truck.

Good choices on vehicles.

My wife drives a 2015 Limited Explorer in White Platinum Metallic.

I drive a 2015 Loaded up Lariat Sport in Oxford White.

Can't beat the whites in our hot and humid summers down here in the south.

I guess there are a lot of Ford families on here. My wife has 2011 Explorer 4wd XLT with leather and tow package, I have the 2015 XLT 5.0 FX4 (the rest is in my signature). I've had both ecoboosts (3.5 and 2.7) in F150's and loved them both. We have no desire to go outside of Ford whatsoever!

My wife drives a 13 Explorer Limited 3.5NA, I have a 15 F-150 Lariat 5.0, and last night I picked up a 16 Focus for my daughter. The Explorer has been solid this far with 76k miles, so we'll see how the other 2 do.

The funny thing is we were never a "Ford" family to begin with. She had all sorts of different vehicles previously and originally wanted to upgrade to a Tahoe, and I liked them as well however we couldnt justify the price of them verse what we could get in the Explorer. Granted the Tahoe is a little bigger, but it just didnt match up on paper.

I also work for a company that has access to a lot of new Ford, GM, and Dodge vehicles. I was able to basically drive lots of vehicles, and time and time again I kept finding myself liking the Fords.

We got her the Explorer and I was super jealous. I have an 02 BMW M3 which I love, but I wanted some more modern amenities and reliability, and it was time to stop putting so many miles on the m3. So I got a F150 EcoBoost. We love our Fords and most of my Chevy/Dodge friends are looking this way too.
