The only time I have ever gotten pop-up ads on my phone (Samsung Galaxy since 1st gen. Fascinate / Verizon) is when I go to AtoZlyrics.com. I've gotten the "WARNING! You may have spyware, click here to scan your phone"...blah, blah, blah. It's happened twice, so obviously I no longer use that site at all, either at home or mobile.

If you are on an iPhone, go to your settings-safari-clear history and website data which will also remove the "cookies" and should stop this from happening. For Samsung users do the same, but I believe your cookie delete tool is found under your internet application somewhere!

Starting a private forum isn't hard...but it also isn't free. Give me five committed donors and I can start a website/forum. Keep it private, no ads...but the donors would have to be committed to help paying the bills.

I am using an iPhone X and have been getting a ton of these lately. I’ve cleared my browser several times and even switched to the google Chrome app. I still get the pop ups. This is unbearable and will probably force me to switch forums

Same for me. iPhone XS and when I get an email notification from a thread notification and click on the link to read the thread this pops-up.
100% of the time. I can no longer use my phone to review threads and notifications which will reduce my time here as I'm not always sitting at a PC.
It wouldn't be as bad if you could click "no" or cancel and continue to your thread. But you have to delete the page completely and start over which is a pain.

I’m happy to report that I haven’t had a pop up since Friday. I did not do one thing to prevent them either. Good job to everyone, thankyou for taking care of it.

I got an adblocker a couple days ago because of these stupid flipping popups. I thought I picked up a virus. If I click from the email link that comes from a thread subscription, I still get them. Annoying AF, and the forum host should be ashamed.

Yup, AF sums it up. I get it 100% of the time I click on an email link to take me to the thread......
