Default Android Phone & SYNC 3

First off, I am not tech savy, but I have an Android Phone (Motorola) but I noticed now my phone wont connect to the truck. When I click Connect A Phone on my touch screen, it shows the phone, but it won't connect to it.

Would anyone happen to know what would cause this issue? I did download Android Auto to my phone recently, would that cause a problem?

Turn on your bluetooth on your phone. I did the same thing a week ago, bluetooth was off.

Android auto requires the cable to be plugged in. The connect button you are referring to is only for a bluetooth connection. Also if you changed cables that could be a problem, some usb cables are for charging only and are not proper usb cables.

Also what sync version are we talking about

I looked at my phone, my Bluetooth was on, but I turned it off now, and leave it off until I leave for work tomorrow. I did uninstall Android Auto too, just in case. Didn't really use it.

I know what android auto looks like...I will take a pic tomorrow when I have a second phone, as I can't take a pic of my phone being not plugged in and the screen on at the same time, from my phone.

I had a similar issue with my 4" screen before I swapped to sync 3. I did a hard reset by pulling the fuse, wait 15 min, then reinstall fuse. Hope this helps.

ok, I will clarify here.
Android Auto showing on your phone = no cable needed, no car/truck/train/bus or plane even needed.
Android auto showing on the Sync3 screen = cable IS needed.
I have only heard of leaks for CarPlay being wireless, not a peep about android auto being wireless i.e. free of cables other than it showing on the phone.

Either way, it turns my screen on and burns my battery up. I'm 99 percent sure that when I click source then phone it shows android auto on the screen of the truck, but I could be remembering wrong. I will check into it tomorrow.
