Default Android Auto Question

I have Android Auto - I like it and I use it, however, I'd like to be able to get at the infotainment center controls to do things like turning the heated steering wheel on and off. Is there a way to do that without disconnecting android auto? I'm having no luck finding an answer on Google search.

I've only seen this functionality on aftermarket head units with another version of AA which was also wireless.

There is a Ford app that shows in the all apps section of Android Auto. Select it and it will exit Android Auto so you can get to those controls while still playing music and nav guidance. To get back, just hit the Android Auto button along the bottom of the screen.

I guess it depends on what you mean by "disconnecting". No, you don't need to pull a cable. Yes, at least in my experience you need to click on the round circle, which allows you to get to the HVAC controls, turn the steering wheel off, then click on Android Auto to go back in.

Agree. For some reason I thought he was wanting to see all of the controls in a consolidated screen within AA.

In AA, go to the Apps overview and tap the Ford icon. This will bring you back to the main Sync screen.

Then if you want to skip another step and not have to tap 'Climate' you can add the heated/cooled seats and heated wheel icon to the Sync home screen by flipping this bit with FORScan; APIM 7D0-01-01 xxxx xxxx x6xx (here - Heated & Cooled Seat Icons AND Heated Steering Wheel on home & climate screen)
