Ive dug through several ford parts websites and cant find my shocks. I dont want to buy one that just says 2wd 2016 I want the ones ford put on my truck because while they transmit more on small bumps tha I want, but dot want worse and every single after market shock people post "firmer". I dont want worse. The # on it is fl34 18045. Can anyone help me? I had an idea to go to the perfmorance 4wd shock because I felt like it might be more linear but after reading many posts Ive come to the conclusion that its worse than a standard shock.

Hold the press.. I just bought this truck with 145k miles on it.. DOes this mark look factory? If not, maybe someone did something here? Either springs or shocks? Maybe once I can cross reference I might know something.. maybe I need to measure the thickness of the spring.?
You can't find your FL34-18045 number listed anywhere because that is an engineering number, not a service part number. Engineering numbers are used by the assembly line to build the truck. Service part numbers, which may have the engineering number stamped or printed on them, include packaging, installation instructions (when deemed necessary), etc. Service part numbers usually have a "Z" in the fourth position.
F = Model Year (first year used) = 2015
L3 = Product Line = F150/F250
4 = Design Responsibility Code = Vehicle Center 4
Z = Design Responsibility Code = Ford Customer Service Division Product Analysis/Ford Service Parts

There are plenty of shocks that are softer than OEM. Brand new shocks are going to be “firmer” than old shocks. You have to brake them in. And at 145k on your truck, anything you buy is going to feel “firmer”.
