Android Auto is completely run on the phone. The trucks radio has zero computing power or software to deal with Android Auto. So if you are experiencing a problem, it's likely your phone or the app itself.

The new Android Auto is available now, you just might have to go enable it. It's a HUGE upgrade.

I just looked and turns out mine updated on October 4th 2019 to version 4.7.593824

Guess I've already got the update. My interface looks like the one in your video. I was hoping they would bring GPS speedometer to this version.

My map still goes crazy often.

Thanks, I have uninstalled and reinstalled but still happens. Will try another phone tomorrow.
I also tried running the maps without the phone connected and it doesn't happen.

They did, but it is only displayed when using navigation (with a destination entered).

It shows the speed limit, but not the GPS Speedometer. Google Maps shows the GPS Speedo. I was hoping they would bring this feature in this update.

After some searching and playing around I have it running fine for the last 2 days.
I turned off Battery Optimization for Android Auto and havent' had the map move since.
Also reading up it's supposed to be able to use the head units GPS if it's available to it so not sure if Ford lets it have access or it's using the GPS from the phone. Might also explain why it works in other brand cars for me.

I do like the new Android Auto setup and have been using Waze for quite some time. Just wondering if anyone knows how to minimize the "directions" popup screen (green) seen in the F150 picture above? The popup is so large and often will cover the highlighted portion of the street map's destination (especially if heading towards the left area of the map).Ideally would be nice to be able to move the popup location but at least to minimize the amount of real estate it covers. Also I believe it displays all of the time (not just when approaching the next turn in the navigation sequence). I keep thinking there has to be a setting somewhere to address this behaviour but nothing obvious that I could find.
Cheers
Kevin

Awesome. Trying this as I type, was working fine until I started using the phone then it started bouncing around again.

I wish. I've looked all over Google and have come to empty.
