Default Android auto

My android auto use to work with no problems at all now for about the past week or so would work for a little bit then go off. But my phone screen would still say android auto swipe up to unlock like it's still connected. Now soon as I plug in it comes on then goes right back off.

First thing to try is a different/new cable, even if you think your cable is ok. I have had a few that seemed to plug in tight and charge the phone, but would give sketchy AA connectivity at times.

Agree with DrewNJ above, but also check that your charging port on your phone doesn't have any lint built up inside of it as well. I had this problem a few months ago and after I cleaned out the port, not only was my cables connection to the phone tighter, but AA worked as it should.

This all day. Mine did this and a new cable fixed it. The Sync system is very finicky about rock solid communications for AA

I solved this issue! The easiest and best fix for this is to go into your programs list in your phone, highlight "Android Auto" and click the "uninstall" button. That's it! Problem solved! You can thank me later.

mmmYeah.....No.

True anytime you have issues with technology you can fix it by never using that technology again. FordGate, we'll bring you food and clean water to the mouth of your cave.

Do you have the latest Sync 3 update?

Agree with above, a new cable is probably your problem.

AA is amazing, light years better than Ford Nav.

FordGate... you joke.. but I had to do EXACTLY that to get my AA to work... Uninstalled it... reinstalled it and went through the sync to the truck again.. then it worked.

Now.. if only my truck could find my Android Apps in the Apps section....

It feels like Ford only begrudgingly allows the most basic integration of AA.
