Default AMSOIL Filter

Is anyone using the AMSOIL oil filters? Any issues with them?

The only issue is they’re 3x the price of the motorcraft filters.

True! I would probably alternate between the two.

Most of us simply change our oil every 4-5k, consider it easy and superior to high performance products. Not knocking Amsoil, just not remotely necessary with stock F150s. I wouldn't use their filter with anything but their product, and I'd guess you know where I stand with that. Save your money for fun mods!

Honestly, its a waste of money. change your oil with full synthetic every 5k and use the ford filter and youre golden.

Why alternate rather than just use the Motorcraft filter exclusively? What purpose is served by switching back and forth?

Or change your oil with the specified oil every time the IOLM tells you to and use the Ford filter and you're golden.

I used one once….but I’m back to Motorcraft. No real way to gauge performance unless you’re an oil analyzer. I’m not.

I have used them for decades. Never had an issue. Some are labled good for 15k miles others for 25k miles. My trucks use the 25k mile filters but I change them at 15k with the oil. They are rated for filttering smaller particles then other brands which is why I use them.

Im curious, do you just change them once per year? It seems Amsoil only make financial sense for people who drive a lot of miles.
