Default Amp Research Steps Issue

I have a set of these boards on my truck and now one of them wont go back up in place tucked under the rocker panel like it should'
I have no idea how to troubleshoot this thing- went thru a trouble check list on the web but it doesn't address this issue. Its not froze i dont believe cause I dont even see or hear it trying to move. Any folks have this same issue in the past?

Any thoughts?

Mine did that a few times if there was slush or ice built up underneath the boards. Easiest solution I found was to step on the step and shut the door. Wait for it to stay deployed, then open the door and shut it. They’d retract fully after that. Then I’d spray lubricant on the hinges and the issue hasn’t replicated

Which checklist did you go through? what have you tried? Is it the ODB plug n play version? unplug it, does it retract? confirmed it has power? does it attempt and fail?
