My 2016 v8 fx4 has developed a bump or thud when taking off from a stop. Has anyone experienced this or have an idea what it is?
It almost feels like something slips...it is apparently toward the rear end. I have stared noticing it since early January

A bump or thud. hmmm, personally I need a bit better description. Is it always or when? cold? UJoints do make thud sounds, so do other things. These transmissions have a quirkyness at times as well, along with Diff yoke, etc etc

Could be a binding driveshaft yoke. Check the lube on it.

Check behind and under the rear seat in the storage areas and even the door pocket storage for something loose or rolling around, falling over….

I'm thinking u-joints as well. Get under there and try twisting it back and forth and see if there's any play.
