Default Amp research bed step

Anyone have the Amp Research bed step and do you like it? Seems a bit pricey, any vendor deals out there?

I have the Amp tailgate step. It is well built and works great. Makes getting in and out of the bed a breeze.

I have the bed step and Love it! Got it on sale with a rebate and still felt it was a little pricy. I’ve had s lot of compliments and questions from folks wanting one.

Default Have Had 2 - 2009 and 2017

Have had 2 - absolute great step. Had one on my 2009 and liked it so much when I ordered my 2017 got the AMP rather than the Ford Tailgate step. Sold my 2009 one for half of what I paid for it. Great step.

I have their Bed Step on my 2016. It’s a great product and super useful. My only issue is in the installation instructions. They have you use existing bolts that don’t have sufficient threads, leading to a very unsafe situation if you use your trailer hitch to tow. I started a thread about it a while back.

I have them. They're lower profile than the OEM steps for sure. They were hard to install. The driver's side is tucked up so tight, I can't actually get a toe on it so I have to reach down and pop it out with my hand. I might play with the angle again. They flex a bit with my weight (200). They're lower than I thought they would be, so I still end up stepping from the step to the top of the tire. It's a heck of lot better than just climbing on the tire though! It saves my hip muscles.

I remember your thread about this. It bothered me when I originally installed it. It got me to replace the OEM studs with new longer bolts. Definitely gave me piece of mind

I remember this too. But when I installed it on my 2018, the bolts were plenty long enough.

AMP must had made some changes since the hitch/bumper brackets and studs are the same. Mine only had about two threads on the nut. Good to hear they listened

Have one on my ‘14. Originally got it so my kids could hop in the easier, but I use the heck out of it.
