Default Ambient Lighting

So I'm hoping someone can help me out here.. I just left my 2015 lariat at the dealer and got home with my 2018 502A. Adjusting to the new sync and playing with the truck I was trying to turn on the ambient lighting but can't figure it out. It looks like its on in an aqua color but really dim. I know this is kind of a ridiculous thing to ask for assistance with but its driving me nuts not being able to figure out how to change it.

I am pretty sure someone said there is only one color now on the 18s. Also slide the color up and down to adjust brightness.

this blows, why would they do this? now I'm kind of annoyed. The window sticker clearly states that it has ambient lighting but even in the light shade of blue that you can't change its so dim you can barely even see it.

It's true that 2018's no longer have option of changing colors with the ambient lighting. Ambient lighting doesn't have to be able to be change colors so Ford says the 2018's have it. This is true just that you no longer have the ability to change it's color..............

It can be added with forscan and changing all the LED's which will cost a few hundred bucks. There is another post on this.

I had no idea they had changed this for 2018, but was laughing as I read this thread. Then I went to the thread referenced and really laughed at the nearly 200 posts and the money and effort people are spending to change this. OMG...

From that thread:

2018 - F-150 - Ambient Lighting - Multi-Color Settings Inoperative ***SSM 46841***2018 F-150 vehicles equipped with ambient lighting will only have a single color. The multi-color option, ability to dim and turn on/off are no longer available in 2018 model year. No repair attempts should be made to address the ability to enable color change, dim or turn on/off the ambient lighting feature

https://www.f150forum.com/f118/2018-...3/#post5484036

From that thread -

"Wife and I would change the light to match the mood or event we attended..." Honey, do you think this is an orange event?

"and was very excited about the colors"...

"I am willing to spend money to get it back."

"and paid 90 bucks"

"While overall its a minor feature, the fact that Ford has cancelled this feature is just stunning!"

Our 2010 Fusion Hybrid can change colors. My 2013 F-150 doesn't have any colors, or any lighting except normal lighting - GASP!

However, the fact that they removed them from the Raptor as well means I won't be ordering a Raptor...

I like that I have the ability to change the color in my 2017 (only done it one in the year I've owned) but it would not be the end of the world for me if it was only the blue color.
