Default Ambient lighting

Took possession of my new F150 Platinum yesterday and spend more time then i should looking for the ambient lighting icon, so i can change from the ice-blue to something more to my liking as i'm used to.
Come to find out, there is NO ambient lighting on the 2018 F150, regardless of trim level.

Correct. Pretty disappointing as I too spent a good hour digging through the manual and the options on the tuck itself searching for the controls...

XLT or below doesn't have it at all. Lariat and above only. Honestly, I don't really care for it. Ice blue is popular color, after all, it's ford's color. One less feature in software, one less issue to worry about. My old fusion ('11 or so) had it and it was very buggy where the color does not stay between start-ups.

The real question is, why did Ford get rid of the ambient light color change on the 18 F-150 and can it be re enabled using forscan.

Beat me. They did lot of changes we don't understand. For instance, why do they remove dimming exterior mirror on XLT for 2018 which caused me to order Lariat?

I am pretty sure it can be enabled in Forscan. Those with tools just have to look. I read that 2018 Forscan is different.

You have ambient lighting. You just don't have the ability to change the color.

Does your ambient door light turn red when you open it?
