Very nice!

Guys,
We have a killer tune available now for the 2.7 F150s now to go along with the rest of our EcoBoost fleet of tuned trucks. Makes amazing power over stock , eliminates most all of those little quirks out that people dislike such as the lazy throttle response and gear hunt / search at down shift. All while picking up another mile or 2 per gallon if you can keep your foot off the floor board.

Feel free to give us a call , PM, or email as well for more information on the new 2.7 tuning or to place an order as well.

Default Feeling better?

The estimated mpg prevented us from buying a tahoe. And now I'm getting 18 mpg. Silverado was the same why when I had a rental. Lie
But don't you feel better when you see the high average MPG numbers on the dash? It's their for a reason to make you feel good. Now if you keep and eye on your fuel tank level, so you don't run out of gas, you'll be fine. Then it all works as intended, right!

Actually I have the 36 gallon tank in my 5.0L 2013 Platinum, and I believe the numbers are pretty close, as far as fill ups. As far as MPG probably close as well. But really if you drive your truck and enjoy and use it for the purpose you bought it for, you'll be much happier than staring at the Avg MPG readout. Because that will change, new truck reads high, you put on lots miles reads lower, just the way it is, period!

PS: it is NOT false advertising. It is average MPG according to EPA tests. Which happens to be ideal driving test conditions. Please consumers don't be confused and expect your EPA MPG numbers to match your REAL world MPG, UNIQUE driving conditions!

Gas pumps are calibrated correctly you guys :p Are those hats made of tin foil?
Prove it you say. Take empty jerry can. Fill it to line. Voila!
Unless the jerry manufacturers are making their cans smaller too
Cheers

Well, the gas stations are state inspected with fines for cheating the customer whereas Ford doesn't have that worry. So, yes, I think the pump is more accurate.

However, I am very surprised that there isn't an accurate-to-three-decimal-places flow meter on my gas line that Ford could tap for this display.

That said I'm not stressing over it I've seen differences of .2 to .9 gallons from display to pump so I just don't take my display as gospel and make snide remarks to my wife about the inaccuracies in a truck with more computing power than the early Apollo capsules.

I don't give a Damn about the lieing technology a ford has. I don't watch my dash while I drive. My last sierra didn't even give me a compass direction or temp! I bought a truck, not an iPhone, or computer. I care about being sold an expensive truck advertising 19-23-26 mpg on the window. LARGEST NUMBERS ON THE STICKER! MPG!!! Then as dumb downed consumers you are, you read the damn dash and believe it. Ford made us pay for an aluminum body, twin turbos, and a new smaller engine to improve MPG people. And it gets the same as a Silverado....

my 2011 would within .1 of gallons used, my 2015 is way off at least a gallon or more at a fill-up

It's been a while since I have been under the hood of computerized Fords but I'm not sure they use flow meters for performance diagnostics/control. I think the rely on fuel pressure rather than flow.

Has anyone been checking the distance traveled via GPS and compared to the truck? If the speedo is off the calc for MPG should be off too. In other trucks I have seen the speedo off by as much as 6 mph with stock running gear

Mine was off 3 gallons both times. Read 17.5 used and took 20.5 gal at the pump. And I drive like an old man! Whatever, point is F150 MPG in my case is a lie. And I care...
