Default Alignment still out… after alignment…

Okay team need some insight here.

2018 Lariat. 2 inch rough country lifting struts. 2.5 inch rear block. 20 inch fuel wheels with 285/60/20 Toyo’s. Nothing major.

Had my IWE’s replaced recently and noticed my alignment was out which was odd because nothing should have been moved. Took back to Ford and they did a complimentary alignment. They said the Toe was out on both sides, etc. said they road tested and steering wheel was now straight. It’s not. At all. Now with a straight wheel I pull to the right…. How can this be?

I’m wondering if I should take to an actual alignment shop that specializes in ford trucks (says their website) and get this fixed right. I als have a slight vibration at 85kms an hour in the steering wheel which drives me nuts. I’ve ruled out the wheels and tires already.

looking for comment boys. Thanks.

There is a specific alignment procedure for these Trucks.
It's an Electric powered steering Rack.
Sensors tell when to move it, how far, how fast and when to stop, so steering wheel position has a big part in this.
Center zero indicator on dash display screen. Bring it up and take a look.
As for the vibration or shimmy, that's likely a different issue aggravated by the alignment.
Could be warped Disc or some mounting point loose, Ball joint etc.
The pull can be aligned out by a good shop after being sure there are no other issues to mess it up, after alignment.
Do a road test after, to be sure it's all taken care of.
I've had it done some time ago and any work done after, has changed it a bit.
Be sure tire pressure is the same both sides, at the time of alignment on the Rack.
Good luck.

Thank you. 35psi all around. Should I go to an alignment shop then and skip Ford? I think that’s my plan right now. I’m assuming they will know if my toe rods or any ball joints need to be replaced?

Also wondering this but I think he means align the wheel against the cluster as best you can.

.
This is on an XLT level dash.
On small Dash Screen.
.
On steering wheel left side directional Button control, press left side to get Screen to action list.
Set to Off Road using Up or Dn.
Use Right Button, then step to Steering display using Up or Dn.
Good luck.

I don’t know if that works very well. I have the lariat screen and tried that. You can move the wheel a lot before it even shows 1 degree off.

The alignment Rack should have the last word on this because a good Rack uses Lazer indications for alignment and see to it the steering wheel is centered.
Good luck.

In 8 years I have seen that, never paid attention to it let alone knew what it was. Thanks
Next question there seems to be a good bit of play, more so to the left, before the angle changes. What would be reasons for that? This truck had serious "pull, wander, drift" when I first got it. Ford had a TSB out admitting the problem that was left open and never updated. When I had the truck flashed for the cam phaser TSB the steering improved immensely after, although the phasers failed within 8000 miles. It still remains crown sensitive to some degree but doesn't drive like a '72 F150 any more..

Cam phasers and alignment are completely unrelated.
