Default ?? Alarm

I have on my Sync 3 screen a truck image with a red line completely around it and a red light on left rear corner. This has happened a few times when it's 20 or so degrees. Happens in reverse only. 2016 F150, Sync 3. I'm baffled.

back up sensors. Sounds like either a sensor is going bad or there is a piece of something on the left outer one

Or the left outer one, which is where the red light is...

Thanks. I guess the sensors can have a mind of their own but it's funny that it only acts up in moderately cold temps. I'll be going in for my annual service in a couple of weeks. We'll see if my genius service advisor has an answer.

Mine is doing that when the temps drop below 30 degrees... really-really annoying, having to back up during BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP

This morning, I got out.. wiped each one clean and banged on the bumper, and a bunch of crap fell out.. and they started working.

I'll give that a try if it happens again.

Just run your truck through the car wash, the sensor is probably dirty or has ice on it.

Same thing has been happening to me... driving me crazy! only in colder temps, so I'm thinking it's still got ice in there somewhere...
