Default Aftermarket hitch step

I was just wondering if any of you have purchased or use an aftermarket hitch step and if it affects the rear back up sensors. Any highly recommended brands are also appreciated. Thanks

I have the "Bully Step".
Amazon Amazon
It doesn't affect the back up sensors.

Here is a picture of it. It is very solid. It comes with a shim to eliminate movement.

I have the TGL hitch step and love it!!

It does not effect the back up sensor. I back into my parking space in the driveway, and this helps position the truck pretty accurately via the back up camera. I have placed an old towel on the driveway and I just put the hitch over it when backing up and WA-La, I know when and where to stop.

Also, It is my anti- tailgater/anti-rear-ender device. I have had plenty of tailgaters all of a sudden stop tail-gating, I think it may be because they see the hitch step pointing at them and back off. Plus if I am rear-ended, it will do two things, transfer a lot of the energy into the frame ( I am not sure if this is a good or bad thing) and take out the offenders radiator.

Amazon Amazon

Hmm I see it is sold out on Amazon, but this one is similar

(Sorry, This is the only picture I have)

I have the Bully step similar to post 3 on mine, but in stainless steel. I like it due to the rounded sides that are shin friendly, but have a flat area on top that still provides a decent step area. Had the same brand and type on a previous Tundra that I owned, and was rear ended at a red light. The impact bent the tubular part of the step, but did zero damage to the truck, or the hitch receiver.
