Advice needed after CEL
My truck is almost 7 months old. Has 6800 miles on it. 2.7 ecoboost by the way. I am supposed to take it on a 4.5 hour road trip tomorrow. Will be my first in this truck. Today I get a CEL. Took it to dealer and code P2450 was pulled. Truck seemed to be running fine by the way. They told me it was emission related and cleared the code. No further action at this time. Would y’all feel confident taking it on a road trip tomorrow? I’m a bit concerned.
Did a quick search and found this thread

P2450 Evap Switching Valve Performance/Stuck Open
It's the evap valve in the tank. Emissions control. You should see zero drivability concerns. At worst, if it sets a CEL, you may lose auto stop/start. And it likely won't pass inspection.
Drive it, no problem. When you get time, take it in and get it fixed.

I have decided to drive it. What really gets me is the fact that they told me there was nothing to fix/repair. I really thought that a dealer would actually fix something when a code appeared, but hell no. I guess they really do exist just to rotate tires, change oil, and clear codes.

Now that valve maybe going bad and the code might reappear later when it gets stuck permanently but you have tons of warranty left so it's nothing to worry about. Enjoy your trip.
Update on this code 2450. Truck has been in the shop last couple of days due to CEL. The same CEL that popped up last October has showed up again. This time they actually replaced the part that was causing the problem.
