when I accelerate from still it’s fine but when I accelerate from say 60 and floor it. The truck goes into limp ish mode and looses power. First time didn’t throw a code. So I pulled over and switch cycled and cleared the wrench light.
then when it did it again it threw p04db which is crank ventilation tube sensor and threw wrench again

my question is I’m reading a lot about when adding a cold air to the air EcoBoost a tube is required to go in the crank ventilation to prevent the code. Is this true and will this cause truck to go in limp?

also what else could cause my issue? Thanks in advance

also to add just bought this truck used to other boosted vehicles from another brand and haven’t dealt with issues like this before. Also truck came with all parts installed so don’t have any original equipment to be able to try reverting back to factory
so an update. The afe tube didn’t work. It helped some but still when I drive and floor it to pass a car around 50-55 the wrench light comes on, goes into limp mode, and says precollision warning. Then I pull over and reset.
also happens intermittently. Did great for a day or two then back. Any other suggestions before I take this to the stealership

I would still source a stock intake and try that.

You could even trade yours with cash to someone who thinks it’ll be better.
