As I read it, bought the truck used and likely doesn't have the OEM intake.

I’d find one local. I think all the KN’s are open box. Most of the closed box ones require the stock lower box so depends on what he has. 2.7’s are notorious for not liking aftermarket intakes.

I’ve checked their site but cannot seem to locate the tube you reference. Can you provide more details, or a link?

thanks, Clint

So quick update:: I ordered the afe restriction tube from American trucks came in 2 days and installed last night. Was 34 after shipping and taxes. Man when I say WTH the tube so far works. Since I bought the truck I’ve never been able to punch it from 60 to wide open throttle and I hit it a few times last night after a 5 min install. And so far didn’t have one issue. No code thrown and no limp mode or small orange service ecm wrench. I’m astonished by what a small pvc plastic tube did to make a difference. Will definitely update if things change.

I have the 3.5 and k&n and still has lower box just not upper. But the tube so far actually worked. No issues so far after a few rolling hits

so… evidently it appears that my address creates delivery issues. Wondering if someone might consider helping a brother out??? Willing to prepay.
