The only issue is you need to control the channel from your phone while using it in the truck. Not a big deal since you can program favorites in your phone while in the XM app. SiriusXM has a deal going right now for 6 months for $30, then like $19.50 per month including fees and taxes after that. Its a good deal. Very happy with mine plus it now allows me to have satellite radio whereever I have my phone including rental cars, work, airplanes, etc.
Right now I use my phone for pandora, the reason I made the switch to Sirius was to save the Data on my phone plan.

I'm thinking bluetooth will be my best and only option...

Sirius uses a ton less Data than Pandora. People who use XM report using it for 3-4 hours per day 5 days per week using ~2 gigs of data per month. Not bad. I just started using it and will monitor it and report if my findings are any different.

Why don't you try the FM option. You can go online and see bad reviews about F-150, using cash, using credit cards, etc. You won't know if it meets your needs without giving a reasonable trial.
