I'm leaning toward 12volt.solutions, despite the ultra cheesy website.
  • Seems plug and play in a couple of minutes
  • No extra FOB
  • Has a no honk option
  • No need to deal with going to a 4-button key/having keys cut and reprogrammed
  • Simply returns vehicle to last settings -- which I think is fine, because I don't have heated mirrors, I don't have rear defrost, it would basically just warm the truck so the heat blows warm upon entry -- and start heated seats, if left on
  • $220 is the right price
Not sure if I'm missing anything here.

My opinion of the benefits of the remote start:
1. I can start the engine and get the oil flowing so I don’t have to wait to drive when I get in
2. The truck will be more comfortable when I get in. It turns on heat or a/c based on the temperature.

5w20 oil doesnt need warmed up my friend, its thin oil. The only reason you need remote start is to get the ac or heat going.
