The BCM only allows the inverter to come on when the engine is running and there are not too many loads turned on like heated seats, heated steering wheel and others. There is a load shed procedure that the BCM does based on various parameters and turning off the inverter is one of them.

Thanks for the input. My thought is to try to use an invertor that I got from a wreck truck and install it in my truck (my truck is not wired for). If it could be transferable to different truck would even be better. My thoughts of use is for what it is made for, light duty. Pin 10 and 11 supply turn on power and delay power-on power.

If you are going through the effort, put in a pure sine wave inverter and run your own power. If you want to make sure it does not come on unless the engine is on, that's easy to do by using a VSR.
