Default Adding Park Assist

Does anyone know if I can add park assist. I have a loaded 16 platinum and the only option it did not come with was park assist. I can park this thing with my eyes closed, hands tied and shot in the arm but my gf not so much. Unfortunately she sometimes takes my truck when it's in her way and don't want what happened to my 13 to happen to my 16

Be easiest just to not let your gf drive your truck.... lol

I seriously doubt adding that is feasible...probably $2500+++ IF you can find anyone willing/knowledgeable enough to tackle it.

Agreed I think its even cheaper and better just trading it in and getting one with the feature on it

Yeah...to my knowledge you're talking at least installation of: two sensors per side (4 total, but maybe more plus the tie-in of the rear sensors), the wiring for the actual button, plus whatever type of software/programming you'd need to make the system work properly. Seems like 4 cones from Home Depot and an afternoon teaching your GF how to park it would be money better spent...not to mention whatever may break/not work after the system is installed (software, electrical, sensors down both sides...installation would impact a large footprint on your truck).

Default Screw that

I guess the best approach is to park my truck in the grass so she can always get out of the driveway lol. Unfortunately here in jersey the cops will give you a ticket for doing so. It's sad because she drive a 70 thousand dollar Beamer without a scratch and that pos doesn't even have the sensors. She drives my truck and scratches the **** out of the bumper and I do have all sh:t. I just purchased a 16 platinum and it didn't have the park assist. I wish it did but I stole the truck from the stealership so I can't complain.

Isn't it your grass? I mean sure, it could be against an HOA, but to get a ticket for it from the law.... Oh wait, New Jersey. Nevermind. Good luck.

Sorry, it is not just New Jersey. Seems that a lot of people from back East, especially Kentucky, , brought their habit of putting their vehicles up on blocks on their front lawn with them, when they moved to Las Vegas.

So the City of Las Vegas enacted the regulation below. Violations will get you a ticket.

Motor vehicles must be parked on an approved surface which is defined as concrete, asphalt or 6 inches of gravel with a border surrounding the gravel where permitted. It is a violation to park a vehicle on the lawn. Vehicles shall be parked on a driveway, in a garage or on the street.

I grew up in the 'burbs in KY, and didn't see any parked vehicles on lawns, but I know that it's the redneck thing to do in low income suburbs and out in the boonies. This can be a loaded discussion though. Sorry OP for the hijack!
