Another option it to just but the pins. I got mine from Digikey. You do need a crimper for them.

Digikey PartNumber Molex Part Number Desc
WM3995CT-ND 0330000003 TERMMALE TIN 22AWG CRIMP
WM3694CT-ND 0330000002 TERM MALE TIN 16-20AWG CRIMP
WM3692CT-ND 0330122003 TERMRCPT TIN 22AWG SLD
WM3687CT-ND 0330122002 TERM RCPT TIN 18-20AWG SLD

I ordered this and did not get that count. I already notified the vendor. Both you and another confirmed it's a 5-count item. I guess the vendor made a mistake.

Thanks.

thanks for this. I would have to get a few to practice crimping...

;-) but I already had plans for that.

The "harness" I plan to throw will have 12 wires... where I only use six.

If I am going to do this... I want to do it once. I can bet that some day I may find a need to use at least a pair of the other six.

Cool - I picked up this crimper
Amazon Amazon

A little expensive but worked well for both the 20AWG and 22AWG pins.

Quick Q.

Why 20 AWG?

I only got 22 to go from C408 to C316/275.

I got the Ford OE harness to tailgate and already added bed lights that covers what's in between. Just asking to make sure I am not missing something. Thanks.

The shield connection on both connectors shows 20 awg, not sure that it really matters.

The trailer lamp is nice also, I did that as long as I was running wires, lights the rear of the truck up nicely when you walk around.
Camera is nice when all done, you don't know how you lived without it.

Thank you Gordy49913 for this inspiration and tips on adding the OEM rear camera. I finished mine tonight and it works perfectly - much better than the aftermarket version I had before!
