Default My install

This is the IJDMTOY 20" Front Bumper Light bar that I purchased and installed today. I got the light from Amazon as well as a heavy duty two lead wiring harness and 5-pin rocker switch from Amazon as well. I am going to be adding a small LED light bar behind the grill in a few weeks, also a IJDMTOY product.

It was a fairly easy install om the light bar, it is made for the F-150 after all. The heavy duty wiring harness and rocker switch took the longest since I was more deliberate with the switch. I had to add some wire to the harness, but that was simply because I wanted to route the wires through a certain area of the dash.

Overall, this was a great addition to the truck and I can't wait to use it!

LIghtbar installed. I took the two middle uprights off and sanded.

Lightbar on during the day with LED headlights and LED foglights.

Headlights and fogs at night.

Headlights, fogs, and lightbar.

Headlights and fogs only.

Headlights, fogs, and lightbar.

5-pin switch installed under the 4x4 selector, and above the trailer brake controller.

That's exactly the look I am going for, very clean looking install!

Was it necessary to purchase the 5 pin switch and heavy duty wiring harness to install the light bar? Or is the kit that comes with the light bar adequate for just a single led light bar install?

Also, are you running the OEM stock led headlights? If not, what LEDs do you have for the headlights and fogs?

Tigerbait, it is not necessary to buy the 5 pin or the HD harness. I just did that because I wanted to, and I don't want to ever have the chance of running too much through the harness and risk overloading and overheating the wires or relay. It causes fires. Extra protection and peace of mind. The light from IJDMTOY comes with a wiring harness and a simple three pin switch, which they say is adequate. They designed and warranty the product, so I m sure it is fine. As far the headlights go, my truck came with the LED lights from factory, minus the fogs. I added LED bulbs from IJDMTOY as well. Simple plug and play bulb replacement was all. I also upgraded the tag lights to LED as well. You can pick up the tag light LED at any AutoZone or Wal-Mart for that matter.

You're not worried about blocking that much airflow on the Ecoboost?

No, not at all. Once I got the front bumper trim off and began installation, I noticed that there is ample space for the light and it does not block airflow at all. It doesn't affect the function of the shutters either. I have had it on now for a week or so and I haven't noticed any change in temperature regulation or performance.

do you have the cruise control sensor in the bumper( drivers side, behind plastic)? I emailed iJDM earlier but they gave me an answer
as if they didn't know what I was referring to

Monster92, I do not have the adaptive cruise sensor on my truck. Mine is a '15 Lariat Sport Edition and it did not come with the adaptive cruise as an option. I don't know if the mounting bracket for the light bar would work or not. Sorry for not being much help.

Just an FYI to anyone looking for good lightbars.
Quadratec makes some great bars at a good price, and have good customer service.
I have a 10" on my 4wheeler and it is very bright. By using 10watt LEDs instead of 5 watt that nearly everyone else uses, they get out more light for the size.
My friend put the 20" bar and a couple of cubes and it's insanely bright.
