Roger. Lucas8888 does very nice writeups, and I've read his several times as I've looked at this. But, I don't need a whole C512A pigtail like he used - just one terminal wire for my OEM C512A connector. Any idea on the part number?

Thank you
Pm me your address and I will send you a couple. The pig tails come filling populated so I removed the ones I didn't need.

I will have to add this to the write up about needing the extra pigtail for the button

Lucas, thanks!

And your writeups are great! Yours on the 360 was a great help on this. And I relied a lot on your heated steering wheel guide! Nice work!

So, what is the difference between the 19H423 and 19H405 camera control modules (CCM or IPMB) in our F150's?

I'm adding cameras to my 2016 XLT (302A with rear camera and Pro Trailer Backup Assist), and am trying to determine which CCM/IPMB to buy.

My understanding re CCM's is that for a 15 and later, that if the truck has:

- only a rear camera, without PTBA, it does not have a CCM. The rear camera is wired directly to the APIM on pins 14, 15, and 33 (plus power and LIN).

- only a rear camera with PTBA, it has a CCM (mine has GL3T-19H423-BC) with the rear camera video wired to it through connector C512A (Pins 11, 12, and 13). The output of the CCM (pins 18, 19, and 20) is wired to APIM pins 14, 15, and 33.

- 360 cameras with PTBA, it has a CCM (can use GL3T-19H423-AE) with rear cam wired into the CCM through C512A and additional cameras wired into the CCM through connector C512B. It also has the 360 switch (SW-7480 aka FL3T-13D743K-AW), wired into the CCM through connector C512A (pin 5)

- Then there is GL3T-19H423-AD, which Livinitup showed in his truck and apparently works with 360 cameras. ( https://www.f150forum.com/f118/ford-...362443/index2/ , post 18)

But I can't find the 19H423 modules to buy, and the 19H405 modules do show up. The 19H405 modules show up as....

- FL3Z-19H405-A for without PTBA, and with camera system/parking aid.

- GL3Z-19H405-A for with PTBA, and with 360 cameras.

- GL3Z-19H405-B, for with PTBA, without 360

- GL3Z-19H405-D, for with PTBA, without 360 (replaces B)

- GL3Z-19H405-E, for with PTBA, and with 360 cameras (replace A and C).

So, are the 19H423 modules just older CCM /IPMB modules and should I just pick up a 19H405-E?

Or are there other differences between the two and should I search for a 19H423-AE because I am starting from a 19H423-BC?

Hello. I found this thread when researching the possibility of displaying my trailer rear backup camera on the Sync3 screen. I like to use it while driving to view what's behind me. It seems like it works only while in reverse, plus a very low speed if you've activated that option on the OEM backup camera.

Is my understanding correct? Or is there a way to force the screen on while driving at highway speeds? I would rather not do expensive hack mods to accomplish that but have used Forscan successfully, including tweaking the pinouts on my electric folding mirrors so they auto-fold.

My vision is that I would have to toggle a DPDT, or something like that, to switch between the stock camera and my trailer camera. The trailer camera is powered by the running lights so I can turn it on during the day at will.

If it's a big deal I won't bother. I'll just use my Rand McNally RV GPS screen, as I do now. But the larger and higher quality Sync3 screen would be an improvement, if not overly complicated. (I'm capable, just not willing.)

Thanks in advance for any insight.

as of right now you would have to get a third party system which piggybacks on the sync3 that would let you run the cameras at anytime.

Thanks. I'll pass. My RM GPS does the job adequately. I was hoping to reduce the clutter.

Default hello can you tell me which pin the camera is connected to, thanks

I created a harness and just split the camera line using an on on switch can't remember exactly what its called but its the same switch you would use if you modify a obd2 device to use with forscan. I think I have maybe $50 into this experiment. But as you can see it works.

I have seen boxes online that will switch multiple video sources by I trigger wire. So in theory you could use like up-fitter switches to switch between cams

For some reason I am not seeing , in the "sent message" portion, that my PM's were sent to you . , I am looking for help in recreating this harness or donating to you to get one made
any help would be greatly appreciated
