I don't like anything mounted outside the truck. I'm in WI and our salted roads will eat that up in no time.

I am not sure exactly what your looking for, but I added an Amp tailgate step to my truck. I have the 6 1/2 bed and my truck is leveled. One of the best additions i have made to the truck. Easy access for my entire family.

I know they make side steps as well but i have not needed those yet.

The Amp step is a well built product and easily installed.

Ditto. Mine has been on a Chevy for the last 10 years and without a problem. Solid unit 👍🏻

I added 2 bed steps to mine, but not necessarily for bed access. I use a Weathertech Bumpstep in the receiver to protect the bumper and sensors in the event of a mild rear end collision. I also added a folding Bestop TrekStep on the drivers side to help me step from the boat ramp to the trailer tongue without getting wet. Between the two, I find the WT Bumpstep is the most useful for bed access.
