Well... I knew that a few people would have wanted this fixed. I didn't think it would be this many so quickly.

I've got 16 people down for requesting a module with lucas8888 requesting two. Since there are a lot of requests, I'll give everybody on my list the early-adopter price (everybody that mentioned they wanted one on this thread prior to 11/28/19). It was going to be $30 a piece, but shipping logistics was going to be a nightmare using USPS First Class instead of Priority and I'd think everybody would want these in their hands sooner rather than later. With that said, it'll be $35 for one module (lucas8888 - I'll knock it down to $30 for the second since I can ship them in the same box).

Current timing is going to be dependent on if I can get the rest of the development done with protos that are going to be delivered on Friday. I will send PMs to each individual member when the development is complete. The rest of the development includes:
  1. Verifying the modules can be reprogrammed for the instance I screw something up and don't catch it before mounting everything
  2. Verifying the comms-to-controls logic is all correct
  3. Verifying the seat temperature sensing is consistent
  4. Verifying the modules pull less than 25 µA when the vehicle is off (roughly 0.25 amp-years). I'd hate to kill everybody's batteries in the first couple months following installation.

For people interested, I'll be starting a separate thread for another module I'm going to be working on for accessory control with a keyfob. I just bought a 1 mile Viper 2-way setup that has 4 auxiliary controls on it and I'm going to be working on a generic CAN module that can be pre-programmed to turn things on/off with input signals (i.e. turn on bed lights, full A/C, full heat, open windows, open sun roof, etc). I probably won't start that until Christmas since I want to get this one done first.

Count me in as a buyer!

I should be one of those 16...but if not I definitely want one when they are released for sale!

I definitely want one of these also! I'm glad I didn't resell the bezel I bought a couple of years ago.

This is pretty exciting, not so much that I use the heated seats that much, but that its a "broken" part of my truck that i haven't been able to figure out for over a year. So glad we have a community to be part of that has a vast knowledge of many different fields. Now I may get re interested in digging in and trying to get the parking system working that I added to my XLT last year as well. Looking forward to ordering this from you!

holy hell man this is awesome i was looking over your pcb design simple and effective, i didn't find this tread till after your cutoff for the first run but honestly i could care less the amount is good for me what ever you charge for the second run ad 5 to it for me so i can buy you a beer for this one awesome job. this missing feature is the only reason i didn't add this earlier, with my bad back from the military i cant get away from the heated seats on a long drive.

Quick update:

I unknowingly had them shipped to work, which I typically do because my delivery people are unreliable. This means I won’t get them until Monday. Just a slight delay on timing for the final development.

On another note, I rented a 2019 Mustang while I was out of town for work this past week and noticed that, when I’m in CarPlay or another non-climate screen, the temperature would temporarily show on the screen - like volume - when changed. It had Sync 3.3 software in it and I was wondering if anybody with an F150 XLT has seen this feature. I can confirm that it doesn’t appear on mine with 3.0 and I’m hoping there is an update out there or coming soon to fix it. I dislike having to leave CarPlay to look at what temperature I have it set to.
