Default Add a Leaf vs Blocks

Howdy,

I primarily use my truck for weekend off-roading. After a 2” level and off road gear in the bed, the truck sits a tad more nose high than I would prefer. To correct this I am considering an AAL or taller blocks.

what say the hive about AAL vs blocks for off roading?

I had some AAL springs in a prior Ranger and I will never use them again. Made the truck ride like crap and bounce all over the highway.

Does your truck already have the OEM 1.25" rear block?

Yeah, it looks like a 1-1.5”-ish block is already there

The obvious solution is to get rid of the 2" level.
This is why I've never been able to understand the premise of so called leveling.
As soon as you actually do something like use your truck as say... a truck.

Just looking to raise the rear of the truck a tad. Not every truck gets used the same way. As big of a sin as it may be, not every truck is used for towing, some are used only for off-roading, and *GASP* some never leave the hardball.

let’s pretend removing the 2” level and the raptor wheels and tires are not an option.

If you don't tow often just get larger blocks.

a long add a leaf will not do that. but those short pos ones will make it feel like a bucking bronco

Larger block will defeat the 2" level.
How about the Roadmaster Active Suspension kit.
If set up correctly it wont change the unloaded stance of the truck.
It will reduce the squat under load and offers other actual advantages to the function of the truck on and off road.

I added the Airlift Ride Control 2k air bags to my 2019 after I did a 2” level. I didn’t notice a difference unloaded vs stock in ride quality even with the minimum 5 psi required in the bags. I loaded up my ATV (around 800lbs ready to ride) and with 65psi in the bags it made it perfectly level and removed the body roll in corners. It took about 3 hours to install with common tools and was well worth the $236 on amazon. There are many options out there to accomplish what you’re trying to do, I decided on airbags and I have zero regrets
