Default Adaptive Cruise; is it worth it?

Is it worth the cost? Do you like the system?

Yes, for me I need to run it in eco mode and it’s perfect. In normal mode it’s puts to much throttle to catch back up to traffic

Absolutely, if it's in my control, I will never own another vehicle without it.

Works perfectly. It's one of the reasons I special ordered in my 2019 Lariat to get the ACC option again. Had it on my 2016 but not on my 2017. Also have it on our Lincoln MKS.

LOVE IT! I had it on my 2015, and will (hopefully) never own another vehicle without it. On my daily commute, I use it frequently. That and the parallel park assist, are probably 2 of my favorite features on new trucks.

I have it in my Pacifica Limited and wish I had it in the XLT. But would not upgrade model to get it in our overpriced trucks.

I had it on our 2014 Flex and just got back from driving a long trip in our in-laws Escape that has it, but they both had the ACC that could only bring you down to about 10 MPH and would then disengage, not the Stop/Go in the F-150 that I expect is a bit smoother.

My 2019 will have it and I can't wait, but even with the less sophisticated systems in the vehicles mentioned, I really like it and think it's worth it. It's great even beyond the obvious of keeping pace on the highway. There is a road near us that is a long county drive with only a couple traffic lights for about a ten mile stretch. Anyway, the speed limit is 40, and people vary on it anywhere from 35-50mph, and while I LOVE the road for its convenience, I hate the drivers because they can't seem to just pick a speed and stick with it.

With ACC, I can just set my desired speed, and the constant speed changes of people in front of me don't have me constantly adjusting cruise or getting frustrated by their lack of ability to control a basic aspect of their vehicle. I find my drives are less stressful because the vehicle handles the inconsistencies of the drivers around me.

So my view is it is not only convenient, but makes my drive less stressful. I don't really care if I only go 40 because of traffic on a road with a 45 MPH speed limit, if you do the math on most drives under an hour long, the time difference is negligible. But I do hate to constantly have to adjust my cruise or speed due to the changing whims of people staring at their phones while driving. ACC removes that and just allows me to enjoy my music/podcast and I come out of it much happier with the drive. For that reason alone, it's a must have going forward.

Not worth it in my view. I tried it out, drove other types of vehicles with it... I don't like it and it is an expensive option.

Thats just my opinion.
