BLIS value
I opted NOT to order with ACC for reasons I have explained many times earlier in this thread.....however I do find both the BLIS and Cross Traffic Alert systems to work very well for me. I have some limited rotation ability in my neck and find it difficult to always see oncoming cars or bicycles from left or right when backing out of parking spaces, etc. Cross traffic alert, although not a total warning system, compliments my backup camera's peripheral view of what is coming if I just slowly back up to give the sensors on the tail lights a view of what is approaching.
The BLIS indicators in the side mirrors give an assist to see smaller vehicles that creep into my blind spots, especially since they removed the convex mirror insert from the driver side that was in previous models. I look for the little indicator before changing lanes and have never noticed that it failed to detect a vehicle, especially a motorcycle, that might have snuck into my 4 or 7 O'clock position.
I do wish you could adjust the volume on the Cross Traffic Alert and BLIS downward as mine is VERY LOUD......smile..... just my $ .02 worth....

If I am ever forced into a car again , it will have to have BLIS though, mirrors are just too small for my use.

There apparently is a recall for this "ACC" issue... (a software update)
Has anyone had it done and did it fix it?
Does anyone with a recently manufactured truck have this issue?

Mine still acts up.
Nothing new there. I am working with an attorney. Ford and the dealership had 60 days to respond and try to solve the problem from the date of the letter we sent. They are getting close to getting to the end of that time frame.
I guess the next step will be to either fight more and start a litigation or throw in the towel. I will probably press forward. I think I would like my day in court and loose knowing I fought vs. giving in.
If I go forward I was told this might take 1yr - 1.5yrs. Legal system is pretty slow for these types of cases. Which is the disadvantage.
Had I gone with the Lemon Law it would be a quicker process but then basically I am stuck getting a depreciated value for my truck.

2016 Model & No, ACC Problem isn't fixed
2016 Supercrew Lariat with ACC - and NO THE PROBLEM ISN"T FIXED as its occurred 4 times in the last week for me.
All four occasions were dead straight freeway, no steering input, nothing unusual, no bridges, safety barriers etc. We were driving in left lane of a two lane freeway, approaching to pass a large vehicle (semi-truck in two cases, empty car transporter in the other two) in right lane, when suddenly the collision warning lights up and the truck applied heavy braking. Scary In one instance we were lucky to avoid being rear ended by the car behind us.
Ford have a recall for the 2015 model but its clear to me that this problem isn't fixed and continues to current 2016 model - my truck is a 2016 model built in Nov 2015. The dealer says software is up to date, system is functioning normally and Ford tells them this is "normal characteristic" of the system, implying I must have been on a curve or the other vehicle was drifting into my lane etc. BS, none of this applied. So, now I have a $1,250 option that is unsafe to to use. Truck is great otherwise but this is unfortunate - wish Ford would be more forthcoming and acknowledge the issue and work to fix it. At this point I guess I just report to NHTSA and hope Ford gets on it / original recall gets expanded to cover 2016 models?
